Maaike Staal - stylist
After finishing the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht as a Master in Fashion Design, Maaike worked as a fashiondesigner for several brands just to discover that the part of the job she liked most, was the styling for photoshoots. She did a course in fashion styling, assisted some freelance stylists and quickly got her own assignments as a freelancer for various magazines (a.o. Elle, Glamour, Linda.Meiden and Glamcult) and commercial clients.
She is a perfectionist and likes to think about the whole concept: story, location, sphere, props etc. Maaike can draw inspiration from almost anything and turn it into a shoot.
After 2 years studying fashiondesign and styling, Nicky Onderwater discovered 3D wasn’t her way of communicating. She started Photography at the Art Academy in The Hague, which she graduated in 2008. Since then she has been developing her own style which describes itself by simplicity and stilness. She seeks for a manner to bring her autonomous way of thinking into fashion photography.

Her style of photography is a mix between glossy and edgy. It's feminine, bold, colorful, fresh and glamorous. She has published in several national and international magazines. Outside Amsterdam she often work’s for clients in New York and Los Angeles.
